Styling and dressing the growing bump isn’t always super easy. In fact, with the constant changes it can get frustrating to constantly try to accommodate. I found myself constantly reaching for my Blanqi pregnancy leggings for casual wear and dresses for going out. I also did NOT want to spend a fortune on a wardrobe that’s constantly evolving, so I mixed my wardrobe with a lot of budget friendly pieces, along with investment pieces, especially if I knew I could get additional wear out of them outside of pregnancy, or even save for a future pregnancy. Most of my pregnancy wardrobe was kept very simple, casual, and versatile. I did love to add it some fun items, because why not… You can check out my IG for more bump style inspiration!
Places I loved to shop for budget friendly pieces:
Target: Target was where I purchased several non-maternity dresses that I could wear both during pregnancy and after.
Bump Biddy: I snagged a couple of trendy, versatile, affordable maternity dresses from this site. They have an entire $25 and under section!
Boohoo: Boohoo surprisingly has a maternity section of clothing that’s both cute and super super budget friendly. I found dresses for under $15. I also snagged a couple of loungewear pieces I wear around the house.
My favorite online shop for maternity dresses for any occasion is PinkBlush Maternity. I found so many dresses that were perfect for special occasions, but also ones that were just good quality and super comfy.
In general, I looked for dresses that were either babydoll style, or bodycon to show off the bump. I could normally find cute and budget friendly dresses as American Eagle, Amazon, and even Forever 21. For loungewear I always shopped Blanqi leggings, Target and Aerie.
Dresses were just easier to wear, style, and purchase for now and later. So, that’s what I purchased the most of. However, lounging around the house was much comfier in a lounge set which would also come in handy after pregnancy and during recovery. So I’ve made sure to have some comfy tees, soft joggers/shorts, and matching sets on hand for now and later.
