“No beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart.”
I’ve skipped a couple of segments this week due to a little getaway weekend with my husband, new job( which I turned down), and just plain running out of hours in my busy day. However, this is me getting back on track. Today on “Wedding Wednesday” I’ll share some pictures & interesting stories about my bridesmaids.
I have to say that I chose a great bunch of girls with great hearts. I have known all of them for more than a handful of years. Here is a little bit of fun info about my ladies:
My lovely sister was my maid of honor. She has always been my cheerleader in life and closest friend. Through thick & thin, having crazy animals to having crazy dreams, I knew I could always count on her to be there for me. She was a big part of my wedding by helping with the bridal shower, being my encouragement when I felt like giving up & running away ( wedding planning is rough). She even stayed behind after the wedding to clean & pack up. I love my sister & I feel incredibly blessed to have had her in & throughout my life.
Jackie who was a good friend of mine back in 7th grade when we went to school together was also a big part of Jacob’s life. Jackie & I have some cool memories of matching our clothes, riding four wheeler’s, cheerleading & field trips from school. Little did I know that Jacob would be living with her family just years later. I have really enjoyed Jackie coming back into my life. She is a great momma to her daughter, & a great friend to me.
Sydney & I have been close friend since back in the highschool days. We share similar taste in our celeb crushes, food & clothes. She has been a great friend & even took me in to let me stay with her during some of my darker times in life. She helped me on my wedding day by fixing my hair, checking my makeup, and even helping go to the bathroom ( that is no joke).
I remember Jacob’s family from back when we were all in the same area & attending the same church several years ago. It’s been great to watch Kat, his sister, accomplish amazing things in the last couple years. Such a strong girl with a great personality. She will go on & continue to do great things in her life. I really enjoyed having her apart of my wedding.
Kathleen & I have known each other for several years, in and out of each others life. She is now engaged to my brother! I know my brother enjoyed having her by his side throughout the wedding.
Ok, enough of the stories and on to the pictures:
Brides, here is a tip: Choose your bridesmaids wisely. Planning a wedding brings it’s ups & downs so make sure you have girls that will stand with you and not behind or in front of you.
