Weekend Recap 2.5.18

Weekend Recap:

Ya’ll, one of the biggest things I’ve seen in my life was reiterated over the weekend. “God’s timing is perfect”. I know it sounds kind of like a Pinterest quote, but let me tell you, it’s completely true. Four little words I’ve heard since birth, and I have seen it impacting my life in a major way. While I can’t go into any details, it’s amazing how God can use certain people, to impact other’s just at the time they are needing it, without even knowing it. Let me tell you about a smaller instance where I saw God work in my favor over the weekend. My weekend was packed full, they have been for months now. Basically, to the point where I’m constantly running around crazy. So, like recent weekends I knew I had several things I needed to get accomplished, and as I started on these items, I realized very quickly, in the morning, that I didn’t think I would have time to get it all done. I took a small break, realizing how stressed I was trying to get everything completed (due to deadlines) to pray and ask God for time, to extend my day. Sounds like a weird thing to pray for, but if anyone can give time and extend a day, it would be God. So, I kept going on with my list, and it literally felt like my day had slowed down, and I had all this extra time. I got all of my work done in perfect timing. At the end of the day, realizing I got EVERYTHING done, I was questioning myself how I was able to get it all done, I knew God had his hand in on it. I couldn’t help but smile and give him a big THANK YOU! He was there for me, when I needed him. Trust in God, his timing is definitely perfect.

This weekend we worked very heavily with landscaping and decorating our back patio. We wanted to get it done for a Super Bowl party that we had thrown. Hours and hours of hauling and laying rock on Saturday (sneak peek below), then I changed, cleaned up and had 45 minutes to get all of my looks shot for this week. I got done just in time to head down to one of my nanny jobs where I get to watch three beautiful little human beings. Sunday was filled with cleaning, grocery shopping, and preparing for our Super Bowl party. Then we had a fun Sunday evening watching the game.

Things I’m Loving:

In the spirit of V-Day, and another gift giving Holiday, I thought I would share an item that would be perfect for your man. My hubs is always traveling and is in need of a good duffle for overnight trips for work!

Spring is peeking it’s head around the corner, but it’s definitely still cold in most places, and Florida is still having it’s cold spells. I’m still living in cozy sweaters/cardigans and I’m loving this one.

Weekend Recap 1.22.18

Weekend Recap:

Each time I start to prepare for my weekend recap post, and what I want to share, I always think about something I’ve learned over the weekend.  My personality, by nature, is to be constantly learning, growing, and furthering myself into success. Success in my relationships, finances, business etc… So, if you wonder why I’m always sharing with you “what I learned”, it’s because I’m constantly looking to learn. Sometimes I drive myself crazy with it, then I start overthinking, and well…it doesn’t always do me any better.

Overthinking, we all do that don’t we. Goodness, it can really mess up a situation. So, that’s exactly what I learned this weekend. While it’s ok to learn and “think”, I have to put the pause button on it when my brain starts going to far. I let a perfectly good evening go sour  this past weekend because of my overthinking. My “fix” is to not stop thinking, but to let the thinking have it’s moment, and then move on, keep yourself in the moment, and don’t forget you’re living your life. As Elsa would say….LET IT GO.

What I’m Loving:

Ladies, it’s almost that time again, Valentine’s Day! While, I’ve never been a fan, I’ll never turn down chocolate or a date night wearing something red (or pink). Here’s a little something something for the evening! It’s UNDER $60!

I’m really loving this quote. It goes for exercising, eating healthier, job, or even cleaning! Use what you have, do what you can.

Weekend Recap 1.15.18

Weekend Recap:

My weekends are typically filled with chores, work, and some fun. This week was no different. The “goal” I wanted to take in to the year 2018 was ‘living a more balanced life’. I am one who throws herself into one thing, whether it’s work, blogging, or family time. You get all of me, the best of me, for that one item, and the rest gets put to the way side, including myself. I will put my needs, wants, and well-being on hold to cater to that one item, whatever it may be, for a long time it was work. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but after I read something over the weekend about living a “balanced life”, I remembered how important it is for me to concentrate on having more balance. Jacob and I have really been working on this together, balancing our family time, friend time, work, finances, and even diet. It’s healthy to balance the items in your life for your mental and physical health! We all have 24 hours in a day, and with a balanced life you can find out just how much you can accomplish and have fun!

So, this weekend I spend a little time relaxing, did some chores around the house, worked, exercised, and even enjoyed some family time downtown! After the dreariness of the cold front coming in, the weather is absolutely beautiful and the air was so fresh! Enjoy your week!

Things I’m Loving:

I’ve got warmer weather on my mind. This adorable bag is the perfect tote for spring & summer!

Espadrilles are a no-brainer for hot summer days. I’m swooning over these blush wrap around flats!

Weekend Recap 12.18.17

Weekend Recap:

Did anyone else do some last minute Christmas shopping this weekend? I did! While most people get stressed out over the crowds and craziness, I find a little bit of fun in all of the sanity. I think it’s just because I love this time of year, and I love to give. So, it makes it all worth it! Besides Christmas shopping, I spent some time working on some fun Holiday shoots for looks coming to the A Daydream Love this week (sneak peek below). I’m really excited about these looks, mainly because I’m shooting with a new lens…and not because I wanted a new lens. No, last weekend my camera fell off my tripod and the lens on my camera snapped in two. Worst feeling in the world! So, I went out and bought a new, updated lens. In the midst of my literal “madness” and “anger” over my situation of not having a lens, and knowing I had to buy one, I had to stop myself to be thankful for all that I have. That I have a reason to shoot with a camera. Thank you, to all of those who read and follow along with me here on A Daydream Love!

Tis the season for Christmas lights and endless hot cocoa, except this weekend I also got sick. Thankfully, I was still able to get some work done, but it didn’t come without the need to for extra sleep. I tried to keep up with all the fun bustle by going on a walk with my pup to downtown Tampa, and a Christmas lights walk-thru while enjoying some popcorn. Anyone else feel like they just can’t stop, and being sick is holding you back? It’s bad, I always feel this need to “keep going” even though I’m sick. I have to remind myself that I need to take care of myself. Rest is good for the body and mind. I hope you all are getting some rest even though there is a lot to keep up with this season!

What I’m Loving:

I’m in charge of a lot of side dishes for the upcoming Holiday parties, I’ve been finding some good recipes and pinning them to my Pinterest board. This one looked especially delish!

I can’t believe I’m already talking about New Year’s Eve, but this dress is just too cute not to share it with all of you in case you all are looking for a dress to wear for NYE!

Weekend Recap 12.11.17

Weekend Recap:

I can’t believe we are making our way into a two week countdown till Christmas! I feel like I haven’t soaked up all that this season has to offer. I’m going to make it a point to concentrate on ‘JOY’ these next two weeks! Joy in giving, being with family, and enjoying the Holiday season! To kick things off I’m planning to host a hot cocoa night at my home. I turned my bar cart into a hot cocoa cart for the kids! I created a hot cocoa bar a couple years ago, and loved it so much that I’m bringing out all of the goodies for the family! I need to know, do you use milk or water in your hot cocoa? I love the creaminess the milk gives, but I never mind it with water!

So, this weekend I unplugged and it was so nice. My family traveled down to our lake house to spend sometime together. We didn’t get any rest, but it was nice to get away, and just have quality family time. I forget what it’s like to not be glued to mine phone! The ladies of the house played scrabble, cooked, lounged, and talked while the men went out and had their first go at duck hunting. To our surprise, it was a total success for them. Sometimes you just need those little times to unplug and enjoy the moment.

Things I’m Loving:

It’s freezing in Florida and all I want to do it keep warm by bundling up in cozy jackets. This one is stinkin’ adorable and looks like a cloud! It’s on sale too!

I’ve been thinking about updating my Dinnerware, maybe when Spring makes an arrival. In my search I found this set that I’m IN LOVE with! I just adore the blue print and I would totally add in a pop of yellow with a bowl full of lemons!
