Metallics Aren’t Just For New Years

Outfit Details: Shein top c/o, F21 skirt (last year buy, more linked below), Misguided heels

No they aren’t…wear this standout trend starting now and then keep it in your closet for New Year’s! Last year, the metallic skirt came in screaming for the New year’s holiday, but don’t just save it for that one particular day this year, wear it to work, parties, and other events in the fall! I snagged this skirt last year (see here on A Daydream Love), but I’ve linked several more budget friendly items below.

You may remember this top from an IG post from the week (see here on IG)-it’s $14, and I’m obsessed with the flowy feel. You can tie it in the front, back, or create your own look! I turned this top into a bit of a crop top by crisscrossing the ties in the back and knotting it in the front!

How To Style A Baker Boy Hat

Outfit Details: Chicwish skirt (last seen here on ADL) (similar, similar), F21 sweater (under $16), Dolce Vita boots, Similar hat (I bought mine on Amazon, this one is also similar), Clare V. bag

I’m ecstatic to be styling some looks for fall! I’ve been researching and studying upcoming trends for the fall and the one that’s a very simple addition to any wardrobe is the ‘baker boy’ hat! You may have seen them pop up recently, and I was very eager to get my hands on one to try it out for myself! It’s funny (not funny?) that back when I was in high school they had a very similar style hat come out and I was obsessed, I think I had a plaid one. I texted a picture of myself to my sister and we both couldn’t help but laugh and reminisce those time.

I did away with the plaid pattern, but this black baker bot hat is definitely a keeper through this season! I styled it with a tweed skirt (last seen here), bell sleeve sweater, and booties. This is a great transitional piece. It will also pair well with tights and a coat when the temps drop! So, I have to know, what do you think of this new hat trend?

Victorian Style

Outfit Details: Zara top (almost identical on sale), Neiman Marcus skirt, Brixton hat, Furla bag

When I think about the style in the Victorian Era, the words feminine, romantic, and outrageous come to mind. I recently went back to look at the fashion of this era, and I just couldn’t help but smile at all of the volume they incorporated into their dresses. In the modern day, fashion has taken some notes from the era, but a little less outrageous and volume. This look was styled with the Victorian Era in mind! All of the pieces are items I’ve worn before-I’m linking a variety of the modern day Victorian Era inspired pieces in the slideshow below!

Ruffle Sleeve Blazer

Outfit Details: Boohoo blazer, Sole Society bag (similar), Target loafers (similar), H&M denim, Express top

Another budget friendly look up today on A Daydream Love, featuring this ruffle sleeve blazer which I’m beyond obsessed with! It looks great with jeans, over a dress or even a top and skirt! It’s a perfect little statement piece and comes in at under $30! I’de say it’s totally worth the buy, but it does run a little small. I’m wearing the S/M and right at a good fit for me. I paired a very feminine blazer, with a comfy t-shirt, denim and added a pop of leopard! I found a similar pair of leopard loafers for under $40 here.

Pink Velvet Wrap Dress

Outfit Details: A Daydream Love Boutique dress , Bourbon & Boweties necklace c/o, Rebecca Minkoff bag

Yes, I love wrap dresses, I won’t deny that-you can find a little yellow wrap dress here, and a green floral wrap dress here on A Daydream Love! I find them to be so flattering and flirty! This pink velvet wrap dress is so on trend for fall and comes from my A Daydream Love Boutique collection! Velvet is trending and so is the color pink-so combining these two trends and literally “wrapping” them into a perfect dress! I paired this dress with a pink heel and a blush bag a subtle contrast.
