Casual Thanksgiving

Outfit Details: Shein cardi c/o, J.Crew top, H&M denim, Old Navy boots

My family has a big Thanksgiving get-together each year. My mom does all the cooking, and I typically bring mac & cheese with a dessert! We typically get a little dressed up for the occasion, but this year we are slowing it down and having a casual, small, Thanksgiving. Our family dynamics have changed a bit with my Grandpa’s recent passing. We are figuring out how to incorporate new traditions. Today’s look is my casual Thanksgiving day outfit. Perfect for family time, and then a big night of shopping for Black Friday!  Hope hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m so thankful for all of you, my friends, for supporting me throughout the journey of A  Daydream Love!

Simple Gray & Black Outfit

Outfit Details: Shein sweater c/o, Forever 21 jeans (old), similar hat, Forever 21 boots (old), Clare V bag

With all of the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, it’s nice to just have a day to relax and do something fun. J had been wanting to go to this specific care show for years he said, and this year we made it a priority to go. After spending the morning looking and dreaming about our next car, we decided to take a stroll down by the river where we grabbed lunch and a fruity cocktail. There was a little bit of a chill in the air as a cold front came in, so I wore this $16 sweater, it comes in multiple colors. I like my sweaters to fit a little oversized, so if you do too, I would say go up a size in this sweater. My typical size fit me well, but I do like that oversized, cozy feel of a sweater.

Weekend Recap 11.20.17

Weekend Recap:

I can’t believe the Holiday’s are here! Happy Thanksgiving week! I’ve been preparing all weekend for Thanksgiving-making my shopping list, Black Friday list, and getting my house in order before the mayhem! This will be my first year making the famous pumpkin pies for our family gathering, I’m nervous and excited! I’ve been thinking about making a “test” one in advance, just to be sure things go well. The Holiday season is such a fantastic time and I’m really looking forward to all the celebrations with my friends and family.

On Saturday I went to my very first car show. I had a blast, and now I just want a new car! After the car show, J and I grabbed lunch by the water and went on a little stroll. We had the privilege of getting to spend some time with our niece that night. She brings so much joy to our families life, and I’m so thankful to be a part of her growing life. On Sunday, we decided to do a deep clean in our house to prepare for all of the upcoming Holiday’s. After our house was clean we started getting crafty and made our pup a new doggie bowl stand! Ending the weekend with errands and football.

While we are still recovering from my Grandpa’s passing, some joy has been restored just by being surrounded with all of the love and support from friends and family. There are additional things in my life that are still not at peace, and I’m really hoping and praying that restoration will happen, and stability will be around the corner. I’m so thankful that I can trust in God, knowing he holds all of this in His hands. If you are going through a time of instability, and restlessness, put your trust in God, He will be the firm foundation and rock that your life needs. Trust that He will take care of His children.

Here are some things I’m loving:

Since I’m in charge of the pumpkin pies this year, I figured I would share the recipe that I plan on using since I know I’m not the only one that will be baking a pumpkin pie! In my fall Pinterest board, your will find that pumpkin pie recipe!

My Christmas Gift Guide is live and I broke it down into the tabs “For Him“, “For Her“, and “Under $50

When I think of outfits for the Holiday season, I can’t help but think a little over the top for each special occasion.
