Spring

How To Style A Denim Dress For Spring

Outfit Details: F21 dress , Gorjana necklace and hoops c/o, Steve Madden shoes, Cult Gaia bag

Hello, warmer weather, except for the past few days, it’s been chilly. Spring has a way of being a little bipolar, it can go from hot to cold in just a day! However, the warm weather has been so nice. I’ve been out and about a little more, enjoying the outdoors, picking the patio section at the restaurant, and enjoying some of the outdoor shops. This past weekend for our adventure out to bartaco for lunch, I wore this denim dress, which I’m slightly obsessed with. I loved the open back, yet still an appropriate length. I felt like this would have been a great dress for a festival too. With Coachella going on recently, I felt like I was a part of the action without actually going. I was keeping up with all of the IG stories…hello #beychella! I styled this this denim dress with some gold hoops and a star necklace. Then wore my new favorite espadrille shoes. Denim dresses are so fun to style because I feel like you can style them so many different ways-add pops of color or go neutral! See how I styled a denim dress:

Budget Friendly Two-Piece Sets For Spring

Outfit Details: F21 top, F21 skirt, Steve Madden sandals, Brixton hat

It’s not a new concept, and it’s not even a new trend, but two-piece sets are HOT for the spring/summer season. I typically don’t find too many sets that I absolutely love, but Forever 21 has some adorable, under $20 pieces that I couldn’t pass up. I don’t want you to miss out on them either, so I linked my favorite tops and bottoms below! The one I’m wearing today is definitely a favorite option. I felt like I could style it with summer wedges or sandals, pair it with other pieces, and stay cool for the summer.  I can totally see this outfit worn for a lunch date, vacation, or beach day! Romantic Floral Dress

One of my go-to online boutiques to shop romantic dresses has always been Chicwish. I always seem to find something flirty, beautiful, and one of a kind. This floral dress is no exception. For a tea date with my mom, I wore this floral maxi dress. I paired it with summer sandals, and one of my favorite bags! While this exact dress is no longer in stock, I did find some similar dresses to shop below!

Give ’em the cold-shoulder!

I’ve worn this dress multiple times since I got it in the mail. It’s a dress that can be so versatile for various occasions. In West Palm Beach, I paired it with my favorite wedges, and a fun statement earring for a fun night out at at the Improv for a comedy show! Unfortunately, this exact is sold out, but I did find a very similar one that would be so perfect for spring and summer! My earrings make a perfect contrast and statement with this dress. Not too mention, they are under $15!

How I’m Prepping for Swimsuit Season

How I’m Prepping for Swimsuit Season

Now that the weather is heating up, it’s time to get down to business. As pool parties, beach days, and vacations start to pick up, I’m trying to focus on getting back into bikini shape. The following are some tips for trimming and toning that I have gathered from friends and a couple that have worked for me in the past.

Set a weight goal. Your goal should go beyond numbers on a scale because your weight can often be misleading if you are building muscle as you lose fat. Instead, strive to fit into your old jeans or run a 7-minute mile. These benchmarks will motivate you to keep working hard rather than fixate on your weight.

Drink water. This one is an oldie, but a goodie. Water can help fill up your tummy, so you snack less. I try to drink a full glass of water before every meal, so I do not overeat. Staying hydrated takes some dedication. Keep a water bottle with you at all times—while running errands, hitting the gym, and working.

Meal prep. Making a lunch in the morning is out of the question when I am running out the door, so I try to go to the grocery store Sunday night and get the ingredients for a few simple lunches, so I can prepare them all at the beginning of the week. Then I just toss them in a to-go container and grab one from the fridge in the morning. This prevents me from eating fast food or snacking on chips when I don’t have time to make lunch. Trying to be healthy on-the-go can be tough, so organizing your lunches beforehand takes away any temptations.

Try H.I.I.T. This stands for High Intensive Interval Training. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? Don’t let the name deter you; it’s a great way to increase metabolism and improve endurance. H.I.I.T. classes are made up of short, intense bursts of physical activity paired with intervals of short rests. This type of training can help your  body burng calories at a higher rate even an hour after you’ve finished your workout.

Look into TeaTox-ing. I have been seeing detox teas all over the place recently. Celebrities from Kylie Jenner to Britney Spears are promoting different brands on their social media accounts. These teas are designed to curb appetite, boost metabolism, and kick-start weight loss. However, they are meant to work in conjunction with good diet and frequent exercise. Before you just pick your favorite celebrity endorser, do a little research on top-rated detox teas.

Schedule a CoolSculpting session. Sometimes living a healthy lifestyle just isn’t enough. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive treatment that uses precise cooling temperatures to freeze and eliminate stubborn fat pockets that are resistant to diet and exercise. According to aesthetic physician Dr. Anitha Reddy, CoolSculpting at her Tampa practice can be an effective permanent solution for reducing fat … and helping you look great in that new bikini.

Caffeinate your workout. Feeling sluggish will prevent you from getting a good workout. Try drinking a cup of coffee 30 minutes before you hit the gym. This will give you the energy to get through that last set of squats or sprint that last quarter mile.

Skip the apps. When you do treat yourself to eating out, don’t spoil it by loading up on bread or tortilla chips while you wait for your meal. I usually ask my waiter to bring out only waters before the main course. Otherwise, the chips and guac is too tempting—out of site, out of mind.

Substitute the margarita. Alcohol is where a lot of people go wrong. Drinks like margaritas and lemon drops are loaded with sugar and extra calories. Not only that, but they are also a recipe for a gnarly hangover. Instead, try a shot of vodka, a splash of soda water, and a squeeze of lime. This low-calorie drink won’t ruin your health kick and tastes super refreshing! Try to drink water in between each drink as well—this will help prevent a headache the next day.

Get Some Rest: Without a good night’s sleep, you will have no energy to take on your day. Typically, when you are running low on fuel, workouts get skipped and healthy eating flies out the window. Make an effort to get your sleep schedule on track. Getting enough hours of sleep is a stepping stone towards being a healthier, more productive person.

Following these 10 tips will help erase a winter full of cookie-eating and Netflix-watching. In the end, looking your best also involves feeling your best. Being confident about your body is the best way to tackle swimsuit season.
