Pink Is A Neutral

Outfit Details: Chicwish dress c/o, Brixton hat, ASOS wedges, Similar earrings

I realize that in technical terms pink is not considered a neutral-but in my book it basically is and it could be for you too. I find myself wearing a soft shade of pink and being able to style it in a variety of ways-I’ve also noticed that a lot of colors go great with it-black, blue, white, leopard (and other various prints), even red sometimes!

I put this dress on and I immediately went and grabbed Jacob to take me out to give me an excuse to wear it because I love it so much! We ended up going out to lunch and then running a bunch errands. I paired this dress with a comfy pair of wedges, and of course added the little detail by way of tassel earrings. I love wearing this dress with or without a hat, so I’m sharing it both ways. I’m so obsessed with this hat that I want to pair it with everything-it was one of my favorite pieces that I bought this summer.

How To Wear Linen Pants In Summer

This outfit was so comfortable-especially great for traveling! This past weekend I made a trip out of town with friends and we are celebrating the 4th of July at a house on a river. The pants are so comfy, and come in a variety of colors-they are also on mega sale! I thought about pairing them with a t-shirt or even a boho style blouse as well-another comfy option. I added these fun earrings in for a pop of color, I also love these.

I hope that you all have a fun and safe 4th! Catch my latest adventure by following me on Instagram!

My Summer Makeup Routine

This meant to be a video/tutorial but I totally ran out of time. If you would like to see a video, let me know and I’ll do my best to get one up!

The summer months bring a lot of heat and humidity-in Florida it rains half of the day anyway! I’ve come to the realization that less is more in the summer-makeup included! I love getting all dolled up for special occasions, but you might have noticed a slight shift in my everyday makeup wear. I am so busy that I’ve had to cut down on my makeup routine, plus, I didn’t want a heavy makeup mixing with the humidity. This new summer routine takes me a total of 15-20 minutes (or less) and I’m more than likely wearing my hair with a natural wave. All products will be linked in the slide.

Summer Makeup Routine-

First, I always start with a moisturizer, and now more than ever I’m adding in an SPF. I then spritz my skin with this Pixi Glow Mist-let dry. I proceed to add a tinted moisturizer/BB cream-I’m currently using this one from Garnier. I let all of that dry for a moment-I’m usually trying to fix my hair (lately it’s been a bun, ponytail, or natural waves). I then use a contour stick to add a bit of definition on the cheeks, nose and forehead. I’ve just started using this stick by Ulta. I fix my eyebrows with a pencil, nothing major-just making them even. Add a little bit of highlight and blush to the cheeks-I just picked up this highlight and love it! If I’m feeling up to it, I place two-three coats of mascara just to open my eyes. I will typically lightly cover any blemishes at the end, that way I know if I really need to add any or if I can just deal with what I have on. I’ve been using this concealer for any touch ups. At the end, I apply a coat of pink or orange tinted matte lip gloss. I’ve been wearing this shade a lot recently. Just a quick routine for every day wear during the summer!

Denim Dress

Outfit Details: Lulus dress , Does basket bag (similar), Mango slides (old, similar)

You may have noticed the 90’s style is making a comeback, especially recently. While I’m not jumping on board with all of it, I have loved the comeback of the denim dress. Today, the denim dress is a little more refined. I saw this dress and immediately knew I couldn’t just pass by. You could also probably tell that I’m loving a “mini” and relaxed vibe when it comes to styling my dresses for summer-It’s way to hot to add anymore, so I let the dress speak for itself.

This cutie is just under $50 and is so perfect for summer. I would rather wear this than shorts and a top. It’s easy, and can literally pair with any shoes and accessories. I’m probably going to bring it with me on my girls trip this week-throw my hair up in a bun with some sandals and just relax!
