Friendgsiving Outfit

Outfit Details: Forever 21 skirt , BP. sweater (last year, similar), Forever 21 boots, Cult Gaia bag

A week from today we will all be celebrating Thanksgiving! Can’t believe the Holiday’s are here! I get to celebrate Thanksgiving with some friends tonight and I thought I would share my outfit with you! I love this look for fall, but it seemed to be so perfect for a Friendsgiving! It’s a little comfy, a little flirty, and a whole lot of fall perfection! This skirt is literally under $16 and I’m already finding others ways to wear it this season and in the spring!

Remember when I talked about adding some of summer trends into the fall season? Basket bags where one of those things I mentioned. I paired my favorite one with today’s outfit and I love the look! You can shop this ever popular bag here. You can read more about my favorite basket bags here.

Weekend Recap 11.13.17

Weekend Recap:

This weekend was filled with so much joy. I want to start there because I honestly went into the weekend with a broken heart filled with hurt and pain. Finding that joy can be so hard, but I filled my time with family, friends, and fun activities. I separated myself from the things that are causing the emotional pain and sometimes that’s what we have to do, a loving separation, so that we don’t let that person, or situation steal our happiness.

On Saturday we celebrated the life of my Grandpa, for someone who didn’t think people really cared about him had countless family, friends, co-works, and past acquaintances show up to honor the life and legacy he left behind. Though there were tears they were of joy because we know that one day we will see him again in heaven. It’s ok to cry out of sadness or joy. It doesn’t make you weak. It’s healthy for you to have that emotional release. Something I shared on my Instagram this weekend and I’ll share here: Take each moment of your life and just be thankful, and live each day being humble.

Sunday morning, Jacob and I started with coffee in the park where we also shot the looks for this week! The rest of the day was just letting loose with friends at the pool. We enjoyed games, football, and food! Smiling is good for the soul and there was lots of that! I hope that, even though it’s Monday, you can find a small time today to just smile!

Here are some things I’m loving:

This week our friend group is getting together for a Friends-giving so I’ve been gathering some ideas for recipes and decor, and I just love this table set up! You can find more fall, pumpkins, and Thanksgiving food on my Pinterest board here.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, aren’t we all starting to ask ourselves what we may be wearing? We all typically go for something a little looser on this Holiday because we know we are about to indulge in some delicious food-which is totally acceptable! I found this top that would be so perfect and under $60!

Pink Lace Dress

Outfit Details: Chicwish dress c/o, Chloe bag, Steve Madden heels

Jacob is a man of few words, but he’s also a great listener. For example, when I say “you look so handsome babe”, he returns my comment with “you too bae”.  I love every bit of him, but it takes a lot to get more then just a couple words out. I’m a talker, so it’s probably good that he isn’t or we would be constantly be annoying each other and everyone else. All of that to say, I slipped on this dress and Jacob goes “wow, beautiful”. He even said it a couple times during the shoot for this look! So, we know this dress is a winner. Not too mention, I felt beautiful and flirty in it!

Plaid Blazer & Beret

Outfit Details: A New Day blazer, Forever 21 tank, Rag & Bone jeans, Old Navy boots, similar beret, Gorjana necklace

This look was inspired a bit by French style. I’ve been holding onto this beret for weeks now, waiting for the perfect time to wear it. When the temperatures dropped to the 50’s I knew it was time. I paired it with this under $35 plaid blazer that is hitting the top of the trend board and a lace black tank to add a little bit of a flirty feel! I don’t use the term “obsessed” lightly when I say that I’m obsessed with this look!

When it comes to jewelry, I’m very simplistic except for a few occasions when I like dazzling earrings. Gorjana has jewelry that is simple and perfect when left alone or layered. I’ve been wearing this Gorjana necklace a lot lately by itself, but it’s also the best necklace to layer!
