Holiday In Red

Outfit Details: Red Dress Boutique dress c/o , Zara heels, Gigi New York bag

The countdown to Christmas is on! I’m like a little kid staring at my Christmas tree every night, getting excited to celebrate with friends in family over the next week. The cooler air is definitely making the magic all the more real. I’ve been baking cookies, hosting hot cocoa nights, visiting local Christmas events, and watching endless Christmas movies on TV. The lights are all twinkling in my house and the presents are starting to show up under our tree. You can see little clips of our house every night on my IG: @rechaelroe

I wear red in every season. It’s a color that makes me feel more confident and a little flirty and this dress did exactly that! The deep “V” in the back just adds to those feelings! Plus, you just can’t go wrong with a red dress for the Holiday season, or any season for that matter! I added some chic vibes to this dress with a beret, which I find myself pairing with more and more outfits lately!

Weekend Recap 11.20.17

Weekend Recap:

I can’t believe the Holiday’s are here! Happy Thanksgiving week! I’ve been preparing all weekend for Thanksgiving-making my shopping list, Black Friday list, and getting my house in order before the mayhem! This will be my first year making the famous pumpkin pies for our family gathering, I’m nervous and excited! I’ve been thinking about making a “test” one in advance, just to be sure things go well. The Holiday season is such a fantastic time and I’m really looking forward to all the celebrations with my friends and family.

On Saturday I went to my very first car show. I had a blast, and now I just want a new car! After the car show, J and I grabbed lunch by the water and went on a little stroll. We had the privilege of getting to spend some time with our niece that night. She brings so much joy to our families life, and I’m so thankful to be a part of her growing life. On Sunday, we decided to do a deep clean in our house to prepare for all of the upcoming Holiday’s. After our house was clean we started getting crafty and made our pup a new doggie bowl stand! Ending the weekend with errands and football.

While we are still recovering from my Grandpa’s passing, some joy has been restored just by being surrounded with all of the love and support from friends and family. There are additional things in my life that are still not at peace, and I’m really hoping and praying that restoration will happen, and stability will be around the corner. I’m so thankful that I can trust in God, knowing he holds all of this in His hands. If you are going through a time of instability, and restlessness, put your trust in God, He will be the firm foundation and rock that your life needs. Trust that He will take care of His children.

Here are some things I’m loving:

Since I’m in charge of the pumpkin pies this year, I figured I would share the recipe that I plan on using since I know I’m not the only one that will be baking a pumpkin pie! In my fall Pinterest board, your will find that pumpkin pie recipe!

My Christmas Gift Guide is live and I broke it down into the tabs “For Him“, “For Her“, and “Under $50

Fall Wedding Style

Outfit Details: Love…Ady dress (similar, similar), Steve Madden heels, Gorjana necklace

This past weekend I celebrated the marriage of my cousin to her new hubby! It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. When I posted some quick snaps of this dress to my Insta-Story, so many of you asked for details! Unfortunately, this dress is sold out, but I found so many similar ones! All of these dresses would be so perfect celebrating a special occasion this season!

When it comes to dressing for a special occasion, like a wedding, not only do I make sure there is or isn’t a specific attire or theme, but I also look at two things. I think about weather, and the location. Now, here in Florida we are having some warmer afternoons and the location was outside for this particular occasion. I knew I didn’t want to wear layers, or thick material. Because my family is southern, and the ceremony was held in a beautiful pasture, I wore my boots, but typically I would wear some kind of heel like in today’s post. It can be tough wondering what to wear as a guest to a wedding, but think about those two things first and go from there!

Watercolor Fall Dress

Outfit Details: Chicwish dress c/o , Who What Wear flats, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Gorjana hoops c/o

This watercolor dress is definitely swoon worthy. It’s so romantic with the flare sleeves and the light flower pattern. I imagined this dress paired two ways, with OTK suede boots and with flats. When I decided to style this dress for a lunch outing to bartaco with my sister, I decided to go with the flats due to the the warmer weather. I’m already looking for another chance to wear this dress and pair it with my boots! I really enjoyed a lunch date with my sister (find her bake shop here). While it was more of a work outing, we had fun walking around local shops and having a little bit of hangout time.

One trend that I want to touch on is the “hoop earring” trend. Have you seen hoops make a bit of a comeback lately? They never really went out of style, but they are showing more of a priority when it come to accessorizing and I found a perfect pair. The Gorjana hoops that I’m wearing are so delicate and can compliment any outfit! They are very light and comfortable to wear.
