Mustard Sweater

Outfit Details: H&M Sweater (sold out in mustard, similar), H&M Pants, DSW loafers, Chloe Bag

I’m not normally drawn to warm tones like mustard, but the more I saw it this fall season the more I wanted to give it one more shot! This mustard color is sold out in this style, but it comes in 6 colors and is under $13! Might as well buy them all!

So, I actually wore this look on our first day in Charleston when the weather in the morning is a bit cooler. We walked out of our little home away from home that morning and down to the local market for coffee and breakfast. I enjoyed some avocado toast while Jacob had a pastry! That afternoon we ended up getting drinks at a local spot called Basico which has a Mexican flare. We really enjoyed our little getaway to Charleston. We fell in love the the area and we are looking to go back!

Magnolia Plantation + Boone Hall Plantation

In a single day on our trip to Charleston, Jacob and I visited both the Magnolia Plantation and the Boone Hall Plantation. I highly recommend visiting both if you ever decide to visit the area, and I hope my posts about Charleston inspire you to visit! The Magnolia Plantation is known for it’s garden, while it was so beautiful as it was, I would suggest going in the spring when all of the spring flowers have bloomed. The walk around the Magnolia Gardens was definitely a sight to see, the beautiful trees and plants were just inspiring! The Boone Hall Plantation was a favorite stop for both of us. The first thing I told Jacob when we got there was “this is where Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married”! We also learned that scenes from the movie “The Notebook” were filmed there! The big “Live Oaks” that lined the driveway were breathtaking, and the history of the people there were incredible to hear! You will noticed I changed a couple times, it ended up raining for a short period of time, but it didn’t really stop us from exploring, I just wanted something a little more comfortable to wear!

Little White Eyelet Dress

Outfit Details: Shein dress c/o, Target flats (old, similar pair), Cult Gaia bag

I had this mentality that I was going to be wearing cute sweaters during our visit in Charleston, and I did for the first couple of days! Then they said we would be having unusual humidity-a little heartbreaking. I’m so glad I decided to pack this little white eyelet dress though! It was perfect for exploring the historic downtown area. I paired this dress with leopard flats to give it a little bit of a fall flare. Wouldn’t you know it, I had people from all around the city stop and tell me how cute this dress was which really repaired my heartbreak! I hope you enjoy not only my outfit, but the a little bit of the sites around Charleston!
