I may be jumping the gun a bit on NYE, but I’m going to be heading up to our family cabin in Georgia the week after Christmas. While I’m styling this skirt for welcoming in the New Year, the metallic trend is sticking close by in 2017.
The look is very classic-black and gold. The addition of the leopard print heels took me outside of “the box” just a little bit! You can’t argue with how fun this skirt is, plus it’s under $25.
Just a small life update: I never want anybody to think my life was just so perfect and exactly how you see it on my blog or social media. I struggle every single day just like many of you. This has been a tough year on me mentally and physically. I took on a new role at my job, seen growth in A Daydream Love, moved further away from family, friends, work and I’ve just become completely exhausted-to the point where my health, body and mind have suffered. As we came down to the last part of this year, between October and now, with all of the holidays, events, and pressures at work I’ve noticed I’m just very unbalanced. Stress has completely taken over my life, and I can’t get enough sleep to help. I never want to complain because I know the blessings I’ve received and I want try to remain humble, but I just don’t want you to think that my life is “perfect”. Friday will be my last post of 2016. I will be taking time to rest and gain my strength to take on 2017. One thing I’ve learned recently is that it’s OK to say no. For the sake of my mind, I have to say no and not take every single thing on. I hope you will join me on Friday as I share a festive look, and again in the New Year!
