Food, wine, and roller coasters, what’s not to love? The 2018 Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival was a perfect opportunity to try a variety of foods, wines, craft brews, listen to live music, and ride some roller coasters! I was provided with the opportunity to enjoy and partake in the annual event this past weekend. I even did an Instagram Stories takeover to bring you along through my day of #corksandcoasters, and I wanted to recap the day for you here on A Daydream Love.
I brought Jacob along for the experience and we started out with one of the first stops to grab a wine and brew. I had an Astoria sparkling moscato rosé which was so refreshing and celebratory! We cheered to a fun day in front of the old Gwazi roller coaster.
We ventured out into the park to catch some of our favorite animals going about their day. Our favorites to see are the Kangaroos, Gorillas and Elephants! The penguins are a sight to see as well!
That afternoon, I dared myself to ride some of the roller coasters there at Busch Gardens. I took on the Kumba, and Montu. I had the best time! I enjoy roller coasters, but Jacob doesn’t. So, we went on the Skyride together, this is a great way to get from one side of the park to the other.
We then made our way back to the main site of the Food & Wine Festival. We were ready to chow down on some the intriguing cuisines. Some of our favorites were the bacon mac and cheese, frog legs, bison slider, guava empanada and the bananas foster. You can check out all that the food cabins onsite have to offer here.
One of my favorite things about the Food & Wine Festival is the afternoon concerts. We were so excited to see that The All-American Rejects were going to be there. We did a meet and great with the band, and I was totally fingerling over the experience. I’ve always been a fan of the band, and they were making my high school dreams come true. The concert experience was so fun-getting to dance and sing while being surrounded by the roller coasters.
Thank you Busch Gardens for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
