This weekend was full of romance, love and wedding adventures!
I have to say that my Friday night (Valentines Day) was hard to top off. I was so thoroughly impressed by my handsome fiance that the rest of the weekend was awesome, but quite incomparable! So, let me spill the beans about my Valentines Day dinner since no one really knows except for my family. Here is goes…
It all started two weeks ago when my Fiance, Jacob, says that he booked us dinner reservations for Valentines Day. To give you some background, we have never really done anything romantic together for Valentines Day. Our first year of dating he had to work a double shift, and I was living at college. He did surprise me by sending a bouquet of beautiful flowers to my school. Our second Valentines Day we went to get burgers and then watched a movie. Not so romantic but at least we were together. This year…this year was untouchable. So, he tells me he books dinner reservations but he won’t tell me where, I didn’t even bother getting my head in the clouds. I figured it would be somewhere we both enjoyed like Olive Garden or even Longhorn. Well as time got closer I asked him what to wear…obviously this was extremely important. He said to me “something fancy” and nothing else. I found the perfect dress. Sequins EVERYWHERE! So let’s skip to the V-day. Though it was an awful day at the office I still managed to get off in time to rush my beautifying process to be ready in time for him to pick me up at 6! So he arrives, I honestly feel like a little girl waiting for him to come up to the door. I’m literally pacing back in forth. He finally walks in after what seemed liked eternity, with some roses in hand. After some pictures he walked me out to the car where I see rose petals all over my seat, a card, and a bag. He opened the door and moved the petals and told me to open the gift on the way. Of course I open my card first and then I teared up….and then I looked in my bag to find that he had picked out a dress for me to wear the next day for my bridal shower! My shower and wedding are nautical themed and the dress fit perfectly. He then says “you have something in your eye, you might want to look at it” I pull down the visor and a scarf fell into my lap! A very cute scarf might I add. Well the game continued on as we drove down the road and I found various items all over the car…two scarves, two necklaces and a bracelet! By the way…we are not going to either of the restaurant I thought because we were going in the OPPOSITE direction. We make it downtown and he walks me to this fancy restaurant where we had reservations in the ballroom. The walls were draped in red , candles everywhere, big floral accents and a fountain display. To make this romantic story shorter, we drank some wine, and ate food we couldn’t pronounce, and then ended the night on the top of the building over looking the city. I felt like a princess! Take a look at my dress for my fairy tale evening :
So, now it’s Saturday, the day of my bridal shower. My mom and sister did a fantastic job of decorating a cooking. I had a wonderful time with my friends and family. The dress that my fiance got me is shown in the pics:

On Sunday I went to a Bridal Expo and ended the weekend with my fiance grilling chicken on the grill and watching the movie UP!
